Any skin type and almost any body part can be treated for both men and women. The only exception is around the eye area.
The specialized light waves form the IPL hand piece is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle. The absorbed light heats and destroys the stem cells of the follicle, thus disabling that follicle to produce hair without damaging the surrounding tissue. Light blonde hair has very little pigment and therefore will not absorb the light waves enough to provide significant results.
Different parts of the body and face grows hair at different rates. The number of treatments and time between treatments to remove unwanted body hair will vary dependent on the area being treated.
